"We stopped in after our visit the..."
We stopped in after our visit the gift shop was great. They had a bunch of cute stuff, shirts, plush animals, little toys, magnets, all that kind of thing. My kids took forever picking something out lol. Prices were decent too, not super overpriced like I expected. It was a nice little way to wrap up the trip.

"We went over the weekend and it…"
We went over the weekend and it was packed, so that made things a little harder to enjoy. The kids still had a good time seeing the animals and all that, but some of the lines were moving slow. The staff seemed nice enough, I just wish this place had handled the crowds a bit better. We might give it another try on a weekday when it’s hopefully not so hectic.

"Super easy place to visit"
We took the kids to the San Antonio Aquarium last weekend, and from our experience, getting there was one of the easiest parts of the day. The location came right up on the map, and we didn’t have to circle around or second-guess where we were going, which made things feel way less stressful.

Parking was close enough that getting everyone inside wasn’t a big production, and that really made a difference with kids in tow. If you’re coming from around San Antonio and want a fun outing without a frustrating drive or confusing setup, this spot is definitely convenient.

"WAY too warm inside"
It felt really hot and stuffy in there, like I couldn’t get comfortable at all. I was ready to leave quickly because it was just TOO WARM.

"Refund rules are okay, but not the best"
Found the cancellation info easily, but the refund terms felt a bit strict to me. Was fine overall, just make sure to read everything before booking

"Field Trip Planning Was a Hassle"
Tried planning a school field trip and it was way more frustrating than expected. Emails were slow, calls gave me mixed info on prices and times, and the whole group setup felt disorganized. The kids loved the animals once we got there, so that part was great. Just wish the instructions for groups were clearer.

"I’m kind of confused by this..."
I’m kind of confused by this place. We checked the hours online before heading over, and it looked like they were supposed to be open. But when we got there, they were closed with no clear sign or update explaining anything. Maybe we missed something, but it really felt like a waste of time and gas. If they’re going to post hours on the website, they should really make sure they’re accurate. I probably won’t plan another visit unless they get that sorted out.

"So many cute photo spots!!"
We went to the San Antonio Aquarium mainly for my kids, but I ended up having just as much fun taking pictures the whole time!!
The birds, fish tanks, and little animal encounters all made for really cute photo moments. A few spots were busy, but we still managed to get plenty of good pictures without feeling like we had to rush.
It turned out to be such a nice place for family photos and those random sweet moments you don’t really plan for. I’d definitely go back again just to take more pictures!!

"Food options were disappointing"
We took the kids to sanantonioaquarium.net, and the aquarium itself was alright, but the food situation really wasn’t great. I wasn’t expecting anything fancy, but the concession choices felt limited.
What we did buy was very basic for what it cost, and the drinks and snacks added up quicker than I expected. After paying, I felt a little uneasy, like I should’ve checked prices more closely before ordering because it didn’t really feel worth it.
If we go again, we’ll definitely eat beforehand. It wasn’t a terrible visit overall, but the food and concession side could use a lot of work.

"There were plenty of spots to sit down..."
There were plenty of spots to sit down, which was such a relief. We’d been walking around for a while, and I had already regretted wearing the shoes I picked that morning, so the rest areas really saved our tired feet.

"Decent birthday party, but could’ve been smoother"
We had my kid’s birthday party here, and overall it was okay. The kids definitely enjoyed seeing the animals, so that part was a win. But did it feel a little crowded to anyone else? The staff were nice enough, just seemed rushed, and things didn’t feel super organized. For the price, I guess I was hoping it would run a bit more smoothly. Not a bad experience, just not quite what I expected

"Parking was kind of a pain"
I had to circle around for what felt like forever just to find a decent parking spot. Not the worst thing ever, but definitely frustrating. Did anyone else have the same issue?

"Easy to get around inside"
I found it really easy to get around inside, the layout just made sense, and I didn’t have to wander around trying to find what I needed.

"Easy online tickets, no hassle"
i mean, buying our tickets on San Antonio Aquarium was easy. I used my phone and the site loaded fine, plus I didn’t have to dig around forever just to find the right ticket option.
Checkout only took a minute, and the confirmation email showed up right away. We showed it at the door and got in without any trouble, which is always nice when online tickets actually work the way they’re supposed to

"Fair price and a fun little family win"
The tickets felt fair for what we got. I was happy the price wasn’t as crazy as some other family activities around San Antonio. We ended up spending a good chunk of time inside, so it felt worth it. Small win for me: the kids stayed entertained, and I didn’t feel like I overpaid.

"Took my kids to the San…"
Took my kids to the San Antonio Aquarium it was cleaner than I thought it would be, especially after some of the stuff I’d heard. The walkways, tanks, and touch areas all seemed well kept, and I noticed staff wiping things down a few different times while we were there. A few parts of the building do feel older, and there are definitely some spots that could use a little touch-up, but it didn’t feel gross or neglected. Bathrooms were fine too, which is always something I check with kids. I’d give it 4 stars because the upkeep was good, just not totally perfect.

"So Many Animals, We Were Honestly Thrilled"
There were so many different animals and exhibits to check out, it felt like we could’ve stayed forever. The kids were absolutely losing their minds with excitement the whole time. Such a fun day!

"Felt safe bringing my kids"
Brought my two kids here. Felt good about it. Staff were nearby the whole time. Watching the touch areas. Reminding kids to be gentle. It didn’t feel stressful like some other places do. Just a nice, easy visit overall.

"The website was useful for checking the hours..."
The website was useful for checking the hours, ticket info, and getting a general idea of what to expect, but some parts didn’t feel totally clear or updated. We ended up having to ask the staff a couple of questions once we got there because we weren’t sure if the info online was still accurate?? Overall, it’s not a bad site, it just needs better updates so people know exactly what they’re walking into

"Signs Could Be Better"
The aquarium was okay overall, and I did enjoy walking around and seeing the animals. But the signs were inconsistent, so some exhibits were interesting while others left me wondering what I was even looking at.

When the signs had clear info, it made the tanks more fun to stop and read about. Since a few were hard to read or barely explained anything, it made the visit feel a little less worth the price
